So, during this holiday season, I feel that I am very Grateful for this family right here in this picture. We are missing some key people in the picture that I love, those who couldn't be there but also those who can no longer be here, I am really grateful for all of them. For my family. I thoroughly enjoyed going down memory lane and looking back at our AWESOME family!!

It's been a while...

I haven't blogged in FOREVER!! and I swore I wouldn't be one of those people who didn't blog for months at a time with out putting something on here. But honestly, my life has been kind of boring. No joke. I seriously spend most of my time studying. But lately things have gotten a bit more interesting.

So first, My Orchid is BLOOMING! YESSSSSS!














I suck with anything green. I have a black thumb and kill almost any plant I get in record time. And it's not like I try. I just can't keep green things alive. So, my sister got me this orchid for my birthday. I was sad because I knew I was going to kill it (I killed the last one >insert big sigh<). This one's flowers fell off and it was looking glum and I was thinking of throwing it away. But then I noticed the buds!!! And then a week later I noticed it bloomed. So here's what I did (for you orchid people out there) ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I seriously barely watered it (maybe once every other week) and it is sitting in my kitchen where it gets light, but not too much light. YAY!!

Second, I started horseback riding again. This feel amazing and does wonders to my mood. I get to spend four hours a week (or more, if I want) horseback riding. I feel the wind in my hair (not really, cause I am wearing a helmet, but whatever!). I saddle the horse myself (had to relearn how to put on a western saddle, not as difficult as I remember it being). I get to go and get the horse from its pasture. And lastly, this is excellent exercise. (my thighs and bum are killing me but hey NO pain No gain, that's what my ballet teacher used to yell at us, awesome I know). I also get to do this with my friend Jenny. We usually don't get to see a ton of eachother cause she lives out a ways and has a farm and is a very busy bee. So I get to spend this time with her, which is awesome! I heart her!

Third, I have a new doctor and I feel very optomistic about her. She seems awesome and whenever I go see her, I come away in a very good mood. She gives me good advice and has put me on a diet but is really cool about it (it's not a plant diet Anna, sorry. But it is close!). And it's not soo difficult that I give up on it.

Fourth, I have started to cook. I am not cooking a ton, but I am trying to cook out of the cookbook that the new Dr recommended. And I am really enjoying it. I don't feel fabulous to do it every day because all the recipes take a lot of work. But I made eggplant parmigiana, which was a hit for my sister-in-law and family for Shabbat a couple weeks ago. And I made chicken parmigiana, which I thought was good and my sister really liked it. I going to try an artichoke recipe, and a stuffed green pepper recipe this week. If anything, this is just helping me realize that I can cook. It takes time and effort and I can't be afraid of it or screwing up. Now I know if I screw up, I can try again and the effort is worth it. I do think this diet is really helping my body heal on the inside and could potentially lead to more healing.

So all in all I would say that November was kind of a kick ass month. Now all I have to do is get accepted by the Board of Social Work to take my licensure test, set up the date, and pass the test! I can do it! Hope you all had fabulous Thanksgivings! And will have a great holiday in December!

Wedding!!

Jake, my brother, and his fiance Martha are getting married on Saturday the 26th in Wisconsin, just 6 days away from now!! I'm not gonna lie, I'm really excited for them! I heart Martha!! I think she rocks and I'm so happy she's a part of our family! I think Jake is kind of awesome too! So here we come Wisconsin, watch out for the Faleschini and Galvez clans cause we're gonna have a crazy wedding weekend!! Whooo! Whooo!

Fun Farm

My friend Jenny and her husband Mark have a farm. My sister-in-law Saleit will take my nephew there every now and then because he loves the animals (mostly, he loves the cats and kittens, but he likes everything). Jenny has geese, turkeys, chickens, ducks, sheep, llamas, cows, deer, dogs, cats, and kittens. It is really fun to go and Jenny is such a nice and welcoming person to anyone who wants to be around her animals. She is the biggest animal lover I know! (except maybe her husband, I think they are even). It's really nice to drive out of the city and go to her farm and just take a break from everything. Whenever I go, I know why she loves it so much. Saleit's sister, Inbal is visitng us from Israel and loves animals as well. We thought a visit to the farm would be just right for her, and we were right. She loved it!




Calvin the cat was really lovie and followed me around all day.

Friends

While I was in Utah a few weeks ago I got to spend time with a friend I hadn't seen in forever!! And it was lovely and it really makes me want to be better at keeping in touch with my friends that I don't see as much or get to spend as much time with. I spent the day with her and her family and it was awesome! Her husband is so sweet and just a great guy. She has a daughter who is so beautiful and says the cutest things and she is so fun to be around. She wants to know why? about everything. I used to say why? to annoy people when I was younger. But she just wants to understand everything! She wants to know everything! I love it!!! And their baby is sooo cute!!! He is a trooper and just goes along with everything.

Seeing her and her family made me want to be better at keeping in touch, with not only her but other people. I have had the privledge of being freinds with some really amazing people who have taught me so much and I don't think I would be the way I am today without their influence. I need to be better at keeping touch so that they all know how much they mean to me. So, I'm sending this out into the great abyss of internet-ness in the hope that some of them will read this and know how much I love and care about all of them, even if I totally stink at keeping up with them and don't call quite as often as I should.
