My last day in Kyoto I went to the Kinkakji Temple (the Golden Pavilion). I think I like the Silver Pavilion better because it was smaller and even though there were just as many people there, it didn't feel like it. It was more peaceful.

The second place was the Ryoanji Temple
It has a rock garden that has 15 rocks on it and they represent something on Earth. People come and sit and try to meditate and find out what they represent. It was under construction and really loud and so it wasn't a good time for meditation. But it was really pretty. I like rock gardens. They are soothing.

ReplyDeleteI can't make any of your pictures bigger--I want to see the rocks! that's cool. I too, enjoy rock gardens. Rocks don't die on you like tomoato plants : )
